Updated: May 5, 2024

In a collaborative effort to promote health and well-being, MAGINOO Organization, represented by Frank Eugene Real and Roque Galit, joined forces with the City Health Office of General Trias, Cavite, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Gen Trias, and the City of General Trias Social Hygiene Clinic in conducting a free Kilatis Kutis and HIV Screening, Counseling, and Testing event at the BJMP Gen Trias facility.

The initiative, held in solidarity with World Leprosy Day, aimed to provide comprehensive health services to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs). Participants received skin examinations and consultations for skin conditions, along with the distribution of free medications. Additionally, 100 PDLs availed themselves of the free HIV screening and testing services provided.

The project, led by City Health Officer II Dr. Jonathan Porto Luseco, Medical Officer Dr. Cherry Aspuria, Nurse III-Program Coordinator Mary Ann Bartolome, along with the leadership of BJMP City Jail Wardens MD JCInsp. Aris Williamere Villaester, MM, FP JSInsp. Lisa I. Valentino, and Chief Nurse SJO1 Domingo B. Cajuilan Jr, RN, exemplifies the collaborative efforts between government agencies and civic organizations to address public health concerns.

The City Health Office of General Trias extends its gratitude to the local government leaders for their continuous support of health programs for the residents of Gen Trias:

  • Mayor Luis Jon-Jon Ferrer IV

  • Vice Mayor Jonas Glyn Porto Labuguen

  • City Councilor Atty Kristine Perdito-Barison
